We started working on our second Jay Strongwater catalog, for spring 2013, right after the new year began. Patrick built an incredible set of moss starting on a table and climbing over six feet up the back wall. Luckily, the NY flower market is just a few blocks away, full of everything we needed.

I approach each page of the catalog as an individual vignette that sets the stage for each new design. Setting the “Grand Floral Chest” on a bed of plants, as if the hot house bouquet of flowers on the lid has just bloomed.

Finding bright little dishes to present our newest pins as if they were at a picnic.

Creating a meandering walkway of smooth black pebbles for our peacocks to stroll on.

Angling the Floral Scroll Mirror on the cover so it reflects the Poppy Pillow as a hint of what is to come inside the catalog.

Finding the sheer pale pink fabrics to drape behind the introduction of the Nouveau Vanity collection.

For two weeks, Rudy patiently waited for me to set up each shot, as he would expertly light and capture the beauty of the individual designs. I look forward to sharing with you these beautiful images that our amazing team has put together for spring 2013. Can’t wait to see it? You can preview the catalog on our website now!
